THE INTERVIEW: PART 2 | Michaela Barnett for TN-02

I'm Michaela Barnett, and I want to work for you. I hope you'll take the time to consider hiring me. I have a PhD in Civil Engineering, and I'm a local small business owner. I built my company, KnoxFill, from the ground up. KnoxFill has employed dozens of East Tennesseans, supported hundreds of Tennessee-based businesses, and serves about 8,000 families in our region. As an AmeriCorps member at UTK, I started two programs that continue to thrive today: the UT Free Store and the Grow Lab. And as a Congressional Science Fellow working in the House of Representatives, I gained valuable legislative experience, and saw firsthand how Congress was working . . . and how it wasn't.
